The Citrus Story
Hey there! I'm Isaac, a 16-year-old beach lover. During Melbourne's covid lockdown in 2021 I embarked on a journey that gave birth to Citrus. Fuelled by a desire to infuse the world with fun and colour, I discovered the enchanting magic of colour-changing materials.
During Melbourne’s Covid lockdown in 2021, when I was just 13, I found myself stuck indoors like everyone else. With so much time on my hands, I started experimenting with different ideas and trying to tap into my creativity. After a lot of trial and error, I came up with something I couldn’t stop thinking about—colour-changing board shorts.
Citrus was born out of that moment. What started as a small idea during a tough time turned into something bigger: a way to bring a bit of joy and excitement to people’s lives. I wanted to create something fun and unexpected, something that would brighten up even the most ordinary days.
And here we are—still growing, still creating, and still on a mission to make life a little more vibrant.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding our product range—exploring new ideas to add even more colour and fun to our collection. Whether it’s refining the favourites people already love or introducing fresh, exciting additions, everything we create is inspired by that beachside magic that started it all.
We’ve also taken Citrus beyond the screen and into beachside markets, where people can experience our products in person. These markets have been such a great way to connect with the community, share the story of how Citrus began, and see firsthand the smiles our products bring. It’s a reminder of why I started this journey back during Melbourne’s lockdown and why I’m so excited for what’s still to come.
